- Received accolades from Vice Admiral Bird, Commander, 7th Fleet, for creating a 60+ page training report covering all U.S. Navy evolutions for one of several two-week, Tier I Joint/Combined Exercises in Korea.
- Developed and participated in eight, one-week-long English immersion classes for Korean sailors. Earned the U.S. Navy an award from the Chief of Naval Operations, Republic of Korea, for the command’s role.
- Served as Base Commander on numerous occasions when the Commanding Officer was not available.
- Planned over 100 Distinguished Visitor itineraries for travel to the Chinhae area, including the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations; and Commanders, U.S. Forces Korea & 7th Fleet.
- Initiated a monthly meeting with U.S. and Korean Naval officers for integrated planning opportunities.
- Tracked over 400 personnel records, ensuring timely evaluation and recognition of achievements.
- Maintained all regulations, instructions, memorandums, correspondence and the command budget.
- Directly responsible for the selection of three civilian employees as U.S. Forces Korea Employee of the Year.

- Received a medal for recoding the command website to ensure 100% compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Published a weekly news story in the local newspaper highlighting different base departments or events.
- Scripted, filmed, edited and produced a weekly news story for the local television news station.
- Directed operations and maintenance of deck machinery, arranged for cargo handling, assigned boats and boat crews, and maintained readiness of boats and survival equipment.
- Directed the preservation of weather decks, ship’s exterior, running gear, ground tackle and boatswain’s stores.

- Trained and worked side by side with the best forest fire fighting crews in the world.
